Family therapy, aftercare, and relapse prevention are also offered to ensure long-term recovery.

In the initial assessment, ATHMA explores the client’s life history and occupational background and identifies the triggers, past traumatic events, family psychopathology, and social issues that contribute to their addiction behaviors. The program aims to address the individual as a whole, taking into account all of their virtues and aspects of their lives that may impact their recovery.

Individual Therapy

In individual therapy, we follow the principles of Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), which combines elements of Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) with mindfulness practices that emphasize acceptance and change strategies. Mindfulness involves being fully present in the moment without judgment.

Emotional distress tolerance and interpersonal effectiveness are also important aspects of DBT. We aim to help individuals envision and create a meaningful, fulfilling life supporting long-term recovery. Building a life worth living encourages them to develop a sense of purpose that can positively impact their mental well-being.

Family Therapy

Addiction can be a difficult journey, not just for the individual struggling with it but also for their loved ones. That’s why involving family members in the treatment process is crucial. Our team strongly believes in the importance of family therapy, which focuses on building healthy relationships and improving communication among family members. We understand that addiction affects the entire family, and it’s essential to identify triggers and address any mental health issues within the family. Our approach is centered on empathy, and we work towards improving how families communicate and understand each other. We care deeply about every individual struggling with addiction and their loved ones, and we do not tolerate any negative behavior that might hinder their recovery.

Relapse Prevention

Preventing a relapse is a crucial part of addiction treatment. At Athma de-addiction center, we work with both our clients and their families to identify early warning signs of a relapse.

Some of these signs may include changes in mood, sudden attitude shifts, not taking care of oneself, feeling more anxious or depressed, and withdrawing from others. Other warning signs could include past drug use, feeling good about using drugs, lack of motivation, and changes in sleep patterns. By knowing these signs, we can take steps to prevent a relapse and make sure our clients recover successfully.

NEW AGE ADDICTIONS

New Age Addictions are a set of emerging problems caused by advancements in smartphones. People of all ages, genders, educational backgrounds, and socioeconomic statuses are affected by it, with the “Z” generation being the most affected.

Low self-esteem and anxiety/depression are the most common among those who fall victim to this addiction, which includes social media addiction, video gaming addiction, pathological gambling, and porn addiction. The patterns and characteristics of these addictions are similar to alcohol and substance use disorders. Increased screen time leads to avoiding sleep, self-care, and studies while hiding addiction from others and rationalizing it. Forcibly taking away the smart phone leads to increased agitation and withdrawal symptoms. Some experience suicidal tendencies, homicidal thoughts, sadness, and psychotic breakdowns. Nomo phobia is common even in people not addiction to gaming.

Reduced sleep leads to sleeping more during the day, avoiding school and college, a decline in academics, poor attention span, social isolation, depression, anxiety, restlessness, low self-esteem, financial loss, and a gateway to substance use disorders.

Management of New Age addiction involves psychological detox, staying in a rehabilitation center, individual and group therapy, mindfulness behavior therapy to set limits for the use of mobiles, encouraging spending time with peers and parents, involvement in physical games to promote support line, yoga, and medication, addressing co-morbid anxiety and depression, increasing self-esteem, appropriate medication, and maintaining a mood swing diary to identify triggers for using the phone.

Adding spiritual practices to daily routine is also recommended. The above approach has been successful in managing New Age addiction, and more people are approaching us for mobile addiction treatment. Our center has an exclusive new-age de-addiction ward.

Incorporate “spiritual dimerism” into daily routine and witness its transformative effects. Our proven success has generated greater demand for our mobile addiction services. Our center stands apart, offering an exclusive new-age de-addiction ward.
